VKCET is situated at Parippally , an important station on the Trivandrum- Kollam stretch of NH47. The college is, perhaps, one of the very few Engineering Colleges which are at a stone's throw from National Highways. There are frequent private or KSRTC bus services to well known places like Varkala, Attingal, Paravur, Kottiyam, Chathannur, Kundara, Kadakkal , Nilamel , Kilimannor, etc. It is about 23 kms from Kollam and about 40 km from Trivandrum. The nearest railway station is Varkala.
